Aunque esta entrada sea , en tiempo, correlativa a la anterior, lo cierto es que de una a otra ha pasado más de una semana...
Joder!!!!! (Perdón) La instalación de ArchLinux fue sencilla, pero la configuración, un poco ardua. Como que "algunos ratillos" me he pasado configurando el sistema... La verdad es que tuve que reinstalar unas tres veces porque me cargué el entorno y no arrancaba. Finalmente ví la luz y creo que lo tengo funcionando casi al 100%.
Lo que más me ha gustado, a parte del reto de configurar a mano una distribución a mi parecer de dificultad medio/alta, ha sido la potencia del sistema, su complicación y a la vez simplicidad de uso, y mantenimiento del mismo.
Su gestor de paquetes "pacman" es bastante potente, y lo que más me ha llamado la atención ha sido realmente su gestor "yaourt" que te compila el software de las fuentes y te lo deja en funcionamiento perfecto para tu máquina, desde unos repositorios mantenidos por los usuarios. Ni que decir tiene que al ser una distribución "non-stop" (es decir, que no cambia de release, sino que siempre está actualizada a la última), hace que no te haga falta reinstalar el sistema con las actualizaciones de versión (porque no existe esto), con lo que el gasto inicial de energía y tiempo da sus frutos y no "debes", a no ser un error grave, que reinstalar.
En cuanto a la documentación, cierto es que aunque existe un wiki muy amplio, alguna parece un poco desfasada, pero bueno intentaremos aportar nuestro granito de arena.
La comunidad de momento es bastante atenta y siempre encuentras ayuda (realmente esto ocurre en la mayoría de distribuciones).
En fin, de momento bondades es lo que he encontrado en esta distribución linux que de momento se va a quedar a vivir en mi PC, para ser después exportada al Notebook...
Con lo visto, la próxima vez que instale me irá rodado (...espero...).
